Under close supervision of a higher-level IT professional, incumbents acquire the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities and gain experience in a specialized information technology area such as systems administration, network administration, database administration, or applications analysis and development. Incumbents perform a variety of IT-related dutes as trainees.
This position is located in Carson City. The incumbent will under-fill an IT Professional II. They will train to perform duties as follows: advance journey level application developer for the Department's various applications.
The Nevada DMV uses the following for Software Development: ASP.NET (Server-side Web Application Framework), VB.NET (Visual Basic), Microsoft SQL Server (Database), Microsoft Visual Studio.NET (Interactive Development Environment), JavaScript (Scripting Language), and Mainframe, CICS & COBOL. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field; OR two years of relevant technical experience equivalent to an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
