JOB INFORMATION

Plumbers perform skilled plumbing work to maintain and repair plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment.
--The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Plumber 2 for Facilities Maintenance Services. The incumbent will function as the lead worker in the plumbing shop by providing training and technical assistance; plan, schedule, inspect and coordinate work; and take full responsibility to assure the completion of work orders.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program followed by one year of journey level plumbing experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.

Additional Position Criteria
This position is designated as Essential Personnel. In the event of a campus emergency, special event, closure to maintain campus safety or building operations, this position may be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.
This position requires a current Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certificate or an ability to obtain the certificate within 12 months of employment and is a condition of continued employment.
