JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, part time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Clinical Social Workers provide clinical services to clients/inmates in a residential, home, inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, correctional or similar setting.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series.
The Clinical Social Worker is assigned to Nevada Early Intervention Services serving Northern Nevada counties and provides family training, counseling and home visits to assist families with a child under the age of three with a disability to understand the special needs of their child and to enhance the child's development. This position also reviews all referrals sent by social service agencies to determine if a comprehensive development evaluation is appropriate.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work and an internship approved by the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.
Special Notes
Must be in or eligible for an internship for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Social Workers, or must hold a license in the State of Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
