Supply Technicians participate in the procurement, receipt, storage, issuing, shipment, property control, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of assets to include, but not limited to, the following: property, equipment, services, food, forms, parts and supplies. Incumbents work in a warehouse, stockroom or office setting and prepare and process documents for the requisition, purchase, receipt, issuance and transfer of goods; expedite the flow of goods from vendor to user; and maintain control records for a variety of property and equipment.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position supports Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS) in Southern Nevada. Agency positions may be assigned to any SNAMHS work location, initially this position is anticipated to be assigned to the Rawson Neal Hospital located at 1650 Community College Drive in Las Vegas.
Duties and responsibilities include: monitor inventory levels and purchase new stock quantities based on minimum stock level requirements; update and retrieve data using personal computer and QuickBooks software; track purchases; maintain inventory, property and equipment records and produce reports as required; research and locate items on internet; receive and inspect items to ensure correct delivery; determine quantity and condition of items received; ensure items meet order specifications; pack and return damaged goods and/or incorrect items; notify vendor of return status; store items such as office supplies, forms, food, excess/surplus property, equipment, and janitorial supplies by following methods appropriate for each type of item; rotate items as necessary; and maintain the storerooms in a neat and orderly condition.
This is a full-time position with an expected work schedule of 7:00AM to 4:00PM - Tuesday thru Saturday. Incumbent will work an innovative-variable work schedule with overtime after 40 hours per week

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included maintaining inventory records, shipping and receiving materials and equipment, and ordering supplies, equipment and materials; OR one year of experience as a Supply Assistant in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment. |
|
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. |
