JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Under the direct clinical supervision of a Licensed Psychologist, incumbents perform the duties described in the series concept in a trainee capacity. Incumbents may be automatically progressed to Licensed Psychologist I upon receipt of licensure as a psychologist in the State of Nevada
This recruitment is for Rural Community Health Services and will be based out of Fallon Counseling and Supportive Services and will also be providing services to all rural clinic centers throughout the Northern Nevada area. The position will provide individual, family and group therapy to mental health clients of all ages, complete screenings for prospective clients, conduct intakes for new clients and provide psychological evaluation services. This outpatient Mental Health Center serves individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Center hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. This position will have a 25 percent travel requirement to area listed. This position will provide services on behalf of and at multiple sites statewide to support the mission of the Division and Rural Community Health Services.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Doctorate in Psychology and an approved internship agreement with the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Psychological Assistants must maintain an approved internship with the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners as a condition of continuing employment.
