The Position
Clinical Program Managers plan, organize, implement and direct one or more mental health, intellectual disabilities, and/or child development service delivery programs by establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; developing and monitoring budgets; integrating programs with other state and community services; and supervising clinical and administrative staff, typically including licensed Psychologists and/or subordinate supervisors of professional clinicians.
Clinical Program Manager I's work in a relatively small program or cluster of programs.
This position supervises the Rural Region Child Welfare Clinical Program. Incumbents supervise professional, technical and clerical staff; conduct clinical team meetings for peer review of client cases and service delivery problem resolution; provide appropriate staff training opportunities; perform supervisory functions including hiring, assigning and reviewing work, evaluating performance, and recommending disciplinary action; and may supervise clinicians in meeting licensing requirements.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    A Master's degree from an accredited school in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option/s identified, and three years of post-Master's degree professional experience in a human service delivery setting, two of which were in the option/s being recruited, and one of which included supervision of professionals in the option/s identified; OR a Doctoral degree (Psy.D) in clinical psychology from an accredited school of professional psychology, and two years of experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience working in a child welfare clinical program.
    Travel up to 25% of the time is required
The Examination
If there are five or fewer qualified applicants, the exam will consist of an application evaluation. (This statement does not apply for Until Recruitment Needs are Satisfied (URS) announcements).
If there are more than five qualified applicants the exam will consist of a Training and Experience weighted 100%.

The exam will consist of a rating of training and experience weighted 100%. It is essential that applications include extensively detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. Your score will be based on the information provided in your application and your responses to the questions asked below. If there are several parts to a question, answer each part separately. Along with each answer, identify the position(s) and/or training (as described in your application) where you gained the background asked for in the question. Absence of experience/training asked for in a question is not necessarily disqualifying. Failure to answer the questions will result in a score based solely on the application.
