Mental Health Counselors provide counseling, case management, direct clinical services, community and home based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient, residential, community or similar setting.

This position supports SOUTHERN NEVADA ADULT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES (SNAMHS) in the Mesquite Outpatient Clinic. Agency positions may be assigned to any SNAMHS work location but initially this position is anticipated to be assigned and located in Mesquite, 61 N Willow, Suite 4, Mesquite, NV 89027. The incumbent will provide professional, direct patient care to mentally ill adults, youth and their families; complete screenings for prospective clients, conduct intakes for new clients and provide clinical evaluations. Direct clinical services are provided in an outpatient clinic as well as in the community and the clients home. The incumbent will work directly with a team of clinicians, psychiatric nurses, and other mental health professionals in an outpatient setting. National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program available at our NHSC approved sites. The incumbent will be working an innovative variable schedule with overtime after 40 hours per week. As a condition of continued employment the incumbent must complete and maintain all position and agency required trainings and certifications, including respirator fit testing and Certification in Conflict Prevention and Response Training which the agency provides.
