Registered Dietitians provide nutritional care and medical nutrition therapy for individuals and groups in institutional, clinic, research, community and residential settings and provide nutrition education to clients/patients and families in accordance with accepted professional practices and standards.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is with Nevada Early Intervention Services in the Aging and Disability Services Division located in Las Vegas, NV.
This position provides nutritional care and diet therapy for individuals under the age of three with disabilities (including genetics syndromes, prematurity, and metabolic conditions).
Incumbent provides screening, assessment, intervention, and monitoring to at-risk population to achieve optimal nutrition and growth. Also serves on multi-disciplinary teams to determine program eligibility and services.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Current certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and one year of professional experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
