The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION
Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occur
in this geographical location.
This position will work with students in grades K-16, 4-H programs, FFA Career Development, post secondary agriculture education programs, the Agriculture Industry Sector Council, USDA Ag Literacy/Ag in the Classroom, and agriculture trade organizations to promote an agriculture education curriculum that focuses on agricultural/agribusiness classroom education, career exploration/development and premier leadership training; and help ensure a knowledgeable and motivated workforce is in existence for the Nevada agricultural industry. Works with USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) to develop agriculture economic data that will be shared with educational programs around the state; coordinates with industry representatives in the classroom program to ensure current and relevant information is used in the classroom; works with our USDA partner to share their kids program resources; and works with 4-H Skill-A-Thon and FFA Career Development to ensure program connection to the emerging needs of the Agriculture Industry Sector Council. Travel required up to 25%.
NOTE: Per NV State Legislature, State of Nevada Classified employees are subject to a mandatory unpaid furlough requirement of 48 hours per year (part-time prorated) through June 30, 2015.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in education or a closely related field and three years of increasingly responsible experience in the development and implementation of adult education programs and activities.
Special Requirements
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
