APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $26,830.80 to  $38,523.60  PAY GRADE: 22
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Certified Nursing Assistants perform basic restorative services and basic nursing services related to the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, basic mental health and protection of patient rights.
Within the Nevada State Veterans Home, the Certified Nursing Assistants will provide the majority of activities of daily living and personal care to the assigned residents. This position is a critical part of the team and will need to participate in the MDS/care planning process and on various committees. The ideal candidate must provide a copy of current CNA certification and CPR certification ; be subjected to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances and fingerprinting and a background investigation through the Nevada Highway Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Fingerprint rolling fees are the applicant¿s responsibility. This is a 24-hour facility, therefore applicants may be required to work shift work. A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and six months of experience performing work as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant Trainee. The six months of job related experience may be part of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant training program.
Special Requirements
    CPR certification is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

    This position is located in Boulder City, Nevada.
    Nursing positions at the Nevad State Veterans Home are subject to pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
