The Position
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is with the Department of Business and Industry Real Estate Division, and serves as the public information resource for programs of the Office of the Ombudsman for Common-Interest Communities. Incumbent develops, coordinates, manages and presents educational programs for homeowners and executive board members and the general public. Will research, develop, and prepare information to publish and disseminate to practitioners, staff, and consumers. Also responsible to manage and process the educational program for certified community managers. NOTE: Per NV State Legislature, State of Nevada Classified employees are subject to a mandatory unpaid furlough requirement of 48 hours per year (part-time prorated) through June 30, 2013. Although the minimum qualifications for this position do not require experience as a Community Association Manager, preference in interview selections will be given to those applicants who have this experience.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an area of specialization relevant to the agency to which assigned and two years of professional experience which included responsibilities for researching, writing, instructing, and presenting informational and educational material; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Position Experience
    This position requires occasional evening or weekend work.
    This position requires basic web design skills including HTML or DreamWeaver proficiency and general knowledge of Illustrator, PhotoShop, InDesign or a comparable pagination program.
    This position requires minimal (10%) travel.
