The Position
Public Service Interns receive training and complete a variety of assignments in staff activities directly relating to their major course of study while enrolled in an educational institution.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. NOTE: THIS POSITION MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME SO PLEASE APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
This position will be located at the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation in our Rehabilitation Office in Las Vegas.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree related to the field of employment and enrollment and continued successful performance in an academic graduate program related to the field of employment at an accredited college or university.
Special Notes
    Employment is not to exceed six months from the date of graduation.
    Employment in this class will not lead to permanent status in State service.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Additional Position Criteria
    Enrollment in a Master's Program in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling with an emphasis in Visual Services

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
