Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is located within the Health Division's Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance in Carson City. This position will assist the agency with fiscal analysis and reporting, budgeting, evaluation and development of administrative, programmatic or operational policies and procedures, conducting statistical computations and research, production of operational manuals and reports. The position will be responsible for input and analysis of information, identification of data and trends for decision-making. The Management Analyst I supervises two fiscal positions. As a Health Division employee, incumbents are expected to be available for call-back during public health incidents and/or emergencies to perform duties specific to this position or to perform other duties as requested associated with a response role. This may entail working a non-traditional work schedule or at another duty station during the incident and/or emergency.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional or paraprofessional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures, or administration of policies and procedures for a program or functional area; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.

Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
Experience preparing work programs, budgets and financial reports.
Database Software - Intermediate
Spreadsheet Software - Advanced , including experience creating pivot tables and working with complex formulas to create charts, graphs and tables.
