Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
Clinical Program Planner I's supervise quality improvement and quality assurance, program planning, program evaluation, and/or contract administration for a large program with multiple service delivery components, which may be regional or statewide.
Clinical Program Planners perform a variety of planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and division activities, including quality improvement, program design, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
This position develops practice guidelines and standards; develops and presents training programs in children's mental health practices; provides technical assistance to internal and external practitioners in the implementation of clinical or quality assurance tools and evidence-based practices per the specificities of the tools and models; measures and assesses the quality of care of services; develops policy; and evaluates internal and external children's mental health providers' program goals.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a social science field, which shall have included some clinical intervention coursework, and one year of supervised experience in a mental health or mental retardation service delivery setting which included supervised clinical hours; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

1) Describe your experience designing and implementing mental health programs being sure to include the details regarding needs assessment in the community, budget development, monitoring program effectiveness and formulating outcome measures.

2) Describe your experience conducting program evaluations of clinical service delivery systems.

3) Describe your experience using computers to perform statistical analyses of program data, monitor budgets, and prepare reports, being sure to include the names of the programs and applications used.

4) Describe your experience designing customer satisfaction surveys, designing and using data collection instruments and evaluating program effectiveness on the basis of service delivery outcomes and/or program performance indicators.
