The Position
Park Aides perform routine custodial and general facility and equipment maintenance duties, assist visitors, collect fees and assist in the operation of a State park.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Park Aid I, Boat Seal Inspector positions for the Tahoe Area are located at Lake Tahoe State Park, Nevada. These positions work primarily outside. Park Aid I, Boat Seal Inspectors are responsible for ensuring that all watercraft have the appropriate inspection seals. These positions will also be responsible for reapplying the seal when watercraft exit. These positions interact with the public on issues related to boating on Lake Tahoe, collect boater information and manage high traffic situations. The positions work holidays and weekends and must be available full-time from May 1 through October 31. When applying for this recruitment, you will be asked to answer a "Pre-screening" question that indicates your willingness to accept employment for the State park listed above. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
    Please indicate your willingness to accept employment for the park located in the Lake Tahoe Region:1) Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park in Incline Village.
