Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
Under the supervision of the Director of the Child Nutrition Program, is responsible for the administration and management of one or more of six USDA Child Nutrition programs. In addition, the incumbent interprets and implements federal regulations and guidelines; conducts program renewals; trains sponsors in aspects of food service management and program requirements and program monitoring activities; holds expertise in the field of food service management and nutrition education; operates computer programs for word processing, spreadsheets, computerized presentations and nutrient analysis software; conducts presentations to groups; communicates with various groups such as legislators, congressional delegates, the media and other public or private officials.

An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area. |
