The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
The position is located in the Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE) in Carson City. Provides state leadership in the development and improvement of career and technical education (CTE) programs, with an emphasis in the area of career development and guidance related to student success in CTE; ensures the comprehensive career guidance standards are properly developed and implemented in secondary education, including career centers that use such programs as the Nevada Career Information Systems; promotes student success in programs leading to non-traditional training and employment; assists with the development and implementation of CTE programs of study, standards, assessments and credentials; serves with other staff to oversee and manage state and federal CTE grants, including the reviewing and approving of local applications, compliance monitoring and technical assistance; ensures state and federal requirements for accountability are met; serves as part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining the Nevada State Plan for Career and Technical Education, the State's application for federal Carl D. Perkins funds; and provides technical assistance to local agencies for program development and program compliance and provides other training as needed. Candidates having good experience in information technology are preferred.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area.
Special Requirements
Some positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Some positions require statewide travel.
Some positions require eligibility for a Nevada teacher's license, which may include specific endorsements at the time of application.
