The Position
Park Aides perform routine custodial and general facility and equipment maintenance duties, assist visitors, collect fees and assist in the operation of a State park.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
Park Aid positions for the Elko Region are located at: South Fork State Recreation Area-Elko/Spring Creek, Nevada and Wildhorse State Recreation Area-Elko/Mountain City, Nevada When applying for this recruitment, you will be asked to answer a "Pre-screening" question, that indicates your willingness to accept employment for any or all of the State parks listed above. Please check the "Elko" option located within the "Availability" tab found in the "Application Profile."

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
Special Requirements
    A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    Please indicate your willingness to accept employment for the parks located in the Elko Region: 1) South Fork State Recreation Area in Elko/Spring Creek; 2) Wild Horse State Recreation Area in Elko/Mountain City; 3) All of the above.
The Examination

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process.
