Mental Health Counselors provide counseling, case management, direct clinical services, community and home based services, and behavioral and human services to mentally ill, developmentally disabled and/or emotionally disturbed clients in an outpatient, residential, community or similar setting.
Mental Health Counselor III's serve as a first line supervisor for professional clinicians on a case management team or treatment team OR independently oversee and implement the activities of a major program area such as a satellite clinic OR serve as the regional coordinator and resource referral specialist for the State's Employee Assistance Program.
This position will serve as program manager for the Wraparound In Nevada (WIN) program which serves youth, ages 6 - 18, who have been determined to meet severe emotional disturbance criteria and in need of intensive targeted case management. The majority of children served are in foster care, while some are in the full custody of their families. This position will report to a Clinical Program Manager II for SNCAS and have regional management responsibility for the WIN Developmental Specialist III's and Psychiatric Caseworker I and II's for SNCAS. This position will be the lead trainer for SNCAS wraparound training, which is based on the National Wraparound Initiative training. This training is provided to all new DS III's and PCW's. In addition, this position is expected to, as necessary, develop and provide ongoing training related to the wraparound model utilized by SNCAS ensuring that all wraparound services meet high fidelity wraparound standards. In addition, this position implements quality assurance measures and develops and implements quality assurance improvement plans.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field and three years of post-master's degree professional mental health counseling experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
Training in wraparound based on the National Wraparound Initiative training model.
Requires licensure in Nevada as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Psychologist.
