Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Education Programs Directors, Supervisors, and Professionals assist and foster the growth of early childhood, pre-K, K-12, postsecondary, adult, and related education programs throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance, training, and oversight.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Education Program Professional assists school districts and public schools by carrying out and increasing parental involvement and family engagement throughout Nevada by providing technical assistance and training. Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, Elementary and Secondary Education, and School Improvement Programs, this position provides support to school districts and public schools by promoting effective parental involvement and family engagement strategies and practices. As part of this oversight, the position provides professional development and technical assistance to district leaders in establishing policies for the involvement of parents and the engagement of families as well as training for parents and families in skills of leadership and volunteerism. Responsibilities of the position include: creating a list of effective practices proven to increase parental involvement; developing regulations to prescribe coursework on parental involvement and monitoring the implementation of those regulations; establishing guidelines to assist parents and families in helping achieve content and performance standards; planning and implementing the statewide Parent Summit; preparing the annual report on progress and actions; and collaborating with department staff.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    An earned Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and one year of professional experience in an educational program area; OR Master's degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, education, English, math, nutrition, psychology, science, sociology, statistics, or related field and two years of professional experience in an educational program area.

    Positions require program-specific education and/or experience which will be identified by the agency at the time of recruitment.
Special Requirements
    Possession of a conditional license to teach in Nevada is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    Some positions require statewide travel.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    Some positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
    College transcripts must be submitted with the employment application.
Additional Position Criteria
    Experience in the development and implementation of programs designed to support student achievement through effective strategies and proven practices.
    Experience in providing training and/or technical assistance to educators and families.
    Experience in which you used data to inform the development and incorporation of strategies and practices into an implementation and improvement plan.
