Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action.
This position must have the knowledge, experience and expertise to conduct program evaluation, quality assurance, and quality improvement activities for children?s mental health. This position provides leadership and technical expertise needed to design and conduct evaluation of programs within DCFS Children?s Mental Health and in the community. This position monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of services. The position develops policies and procedures, determines and evaluates service delivery goals, and ensures that the agency meets policy and regulatory standards. This position administers, scores, and interprets tests for individual clients and for program evaluation. This position is familiar with clinical assessment methods. This position develops and conducts training within DCFS Children's Mental Health and in the community on clinical assessment methods, clinical topics, and intervention approaches.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

One year of post-doctoral experience in providing psychological services in an inpatient, outpatient or residential setting. |

Licensed Psychologist I's must possess current licensure as a Psychologist issued by the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners at the time of appointment and maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment. |

Working evenings, weekends, and/or holidays is required. |

A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant. |
|
Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment. |

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process. |
