The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

JOB INFORMATION

in this geographical location.
Licensed Psychologists provide psychological testing, evaluation, psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation to clients or inmates in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings, at a mental health, intellectual disabilities, or correctional facility, or in other settings where psychological services are provided.
Under the direct clinical supervision of a Licensed Psychologist, incumbents perform the duties described in the series concept in a trainee capacity. Incumbents may be automatically progressed to Licensed Psychologist I upon receipt of licensure as a psychologist in the State of Nevada
This position provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This position is stationed in Carson City and serves individuals throughout 12 rural Nevada counties. The primary duties of this position include: performing psychological evaluations, providing psychological/behavior consultations, and providing individual, family and group therapy. Administrative duties may include resource development, policy, teaching, quality management, due process reviews, provider and service coordinator support, as well as statewide networking between regions. Coordination of services and building partnerships with other community agencies, such as mental health clinics, schools, DCFS, and early childhood intervention, may be involved. Considering the location of this position, travel to satellite offices throughout rural Nevada will be required as needed but will not exceed more than 50% of the time.
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Doctorate in Psychology and an approved internship agreement with the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners.
Special Requirements
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
Psychological Assistants must maintain an approved internship with the State of Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners as a condition of continuing employment.
