The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
***This full-time position is located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. As KUNR Office Administration and Communications Coordinator, the position will oversee the daily operations of the office and serve as liaison between the station manager and staff. Duties include: general administrative support to the Station Manager, News Director, and staff; coordinate calendars, compose and edit correspondence, assess internal procedures and policies, identify and evaluate problems, determine solutions; create and/or coordinate station contracts and agreements; coordinate the CPB annual audit; schedule and manage paid on-air advertising (traffic management); donor relations software administrator (Raiser's Edge); create and manage personnel documents; inventory management of sensitive equipment; prepare the annual budget, reconcile and monitor accounting activities; supervise subordinate staff regarding accounting duties, monthly billing, new memberships and related clerical duties; and other duties related to office management and broadcasting. The position requires experience working in a broadcasting environment.
***The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in public administration or a related field; OR graduation from high school or the equivalent and four years of previous experience either performing or assisting in the planning, coordinating or administering of a program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Criteria
Requires experience in a broadcasting environment.
Requires 'Traffic Management' experience and radio database skills.
Requires experience using Quickbooks or similar small business accounting software.
Requires proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel.
Requires experience developing and implementing policies and procedures.
The Examination
