Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation,
employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is in the Labor Relations Unit within the Division of Human Resource Management and will be located in either Carson City or Las Vegas, depending on the location of the selected candidate. This unit is responsible for providing expert consultation to employees, employee representatives, agency human resources representatives, and agency management on human resources practices, labor relations, and collective bargaining. The position develops proposed regulations to carry out the provisions of NRS 284, Senate Bill 135 (2019) and other State and federal mandates. This position will be responsible for providing consultation on issues such as progressive discipline, grievances, performance management, and bargaining agreements. Other duties include developing forms and publications and assisting in and/or presenting training classes on related topics.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position may require up to 25% travel. |
