Supply Technicians participate in the procurement, receipt, storage, issuing, shipment, property control, inventory, and recordkeeping for a wide variety of assets to include, but not limited to, the following: property, equipment, services, food, forms, parts and supplies. Incumbents work in a warehouse, stockroom or office setting and prepare and process documents for the requisition, purchase, receipt, issuance and transfer of goods; expedite the flow of goods from vendor to user; and maintain control records for a variety of property and equipment.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
Reviews and tracks purchase orders issued by the agency purchasing department. Participates in inspections of bays, common areas, building and grounds to ensure that they are maintained in accordance with established standards and schedules. Uses the Centralized Master Bidders List to search commodities, equipment, or service. Prepares and reviews bid specifications; assists in distributing bid invitations to vendors; and provides vendor information to the agency purchasing department. Audits invoices and checks for accuracy, receipt of material, and compliance with purchase orders. Maintains and stocks materials, equipment, supplies, merchandise, or other inventory. Maintain property inventory records; affix identification tags; record property movement or disposition; conduct periodic physical inventory to reconcile internal data with State Purchasing records. Assists with determining operational minimum and maximum inventory levels; conducts inventory and reviews inventory control records and reports. Maintains accounting records of purchases as well as other related files and records.

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included maintaining inventory records, inventory storage and handling, shipping and receiving materials and equipment, and/or ordering supplies, equipment and materials; OR one year of experience as a Supply Assistant in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

This position requires a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |
