Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) seeks a Management Analyst 1 to join the Motor Carrier Division located in Carson City. The incumbent is responsible for assisting with Motor/Special Fuels, commercial registration, and tax programs administered by Motor Carrier Division to ensure compliance; ongoing development and maintenance of software program business rules; development and revision of operational procedures; evaluation and development of training programs for both staff and industry; presentation of course material to educate all participants of a training program; development and revision of forms, policies, procedures, desk manuals, automated correspondence, and test scrips; and divisional legislative and budgetary duties. Under the authority of NRS 239B.010.1(b), the DMV utilizes NRS 205.4605 - 205.810, NRS 293.504, NRS 293.5045, 6 CFR 37.45, 49 CFR 1572.103, and 49 CFR 384.228 as criteria to obtain a FBI fingerprint clearance check on current and prospective employees. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
