Business Process Analysts apply an in-depth knowledge of the agency's program areas to define and implement a solution to a given problem that requires an individually tailored response for end-user requirements.
The Department of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) is currently recruiting for a Business Process Analyst I. This position will be located in DWSS' Eligibility and Payments Unit in Carson City. This Business Process Analyst I position plays an integral part in the success of our agency's projects.
The Business Process Analyst I will plan and collaborate with development, program and other stakeholders with key project system implementation information. This position analyzes conceptual and operational aspects, assessing departmental needs with respect to preplanning for projects, identifying requirements and active project delivery.
This position will assist in project communications, project tracking, status reporting, contract and invoice monitoring, and gap analysis efforts. This position serves as a liaison between the agency's program/policy staff and technical staff and works closely with state and county program staff, technicians, vendors, and other agencies/entities involved with project planning and execution.
This highly efficient Business Process Analyst I will assist the Eligibility and Payments team and the Portfolio Management team in reporting accurate outcomes and capturing project requirements.
The selected candidate should have a working knowledge of modern computer hardware and software and a general knowledge of principles, practices and procedures required for designing and implementing information systems-based solutions; a variety of end-user tools and applications; sources of information and research techniques; problem-solving methods. In addition, the selected candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; logically analyze problems of limited complexity; maintain effective working relationships with others; analyze data and reach logical conclusions; write grammatically correct business correspondence; read and understand technical information.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, public administration, management information systems, or other disciplines related to the assignment and one year of professional experience analyzing and interpreting program laws, regulations, policies and procedures, which included experience applying recognized data processing concepts to business process planning and analyses; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |
