Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
In support of the Deputy Director or Programs, this position will collaborate with Legislative Liaisons within the Director's Office and the 5 Divisions within the Department to review legislation for impact on the Department and those we serve and coordinate implementation and updates related to signed legislation; coordinate on processes for the legislative tracking system, bill review and assignment, and other legislative tasks; and review reports completed by the Director's Office and Divisions to be submitted to the Governor, Legislature, or other entities.
The incumbent will also serve as the Public Records Official for the Director's Office; reviewing requests and coordinating with Divisions, coordinate with Nevada State Library and Archives on records retention, provide appropriate information and training to Director's Office programs, and serve as the ADA coordinator for the Director's Office; working with Division coordinators to improve Department-wide approach to review and response of identified concerns.

In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and four years of professional experience which included budgeting, accounting, and/or economic or management analysis and projections; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and six years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. |

This position requires a State of Nevada/FBI fingerprint-based background check as a condition of appointment and as condition of continuing employment. |
