The Position
Conservation Aids assist professional staff in a variety of projects involving the conservation and preservation of the State's natural resources.
PER EXECUTIVE ORDER 2023-11, ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN WAIVED FOR THIS POSITION UNTIL JUNE 30th, 2024. You must respond to the minimum qualifications screening question to ensure that your application moves forward. Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation.
The Fisheries Management Division has seasonal positions perform a variety of duties related to wildlife management, conservation, fish culture and wildlife ecology. Positions could range from 3 or 6 month duration over the summer and early fall months, working four 10-hour days in the field and camping at remote location sites on the workdays with openings in Panaca and Las Vegas. All positions require a valid driver's license at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. Seasonal housing is not available. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
Special Notes
    Work may be performed under adverse weather conditions and include extensive walking under difficult conditions and camping in remote, primitive locations.
