The Position
Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
The Nevada State Controller's Office is recruiting for a Management Analyst II. The work location is in Carson City, Nevada. The position serves as the contract manager which includes coordinating requests for information and requests for proposals, maintaining certified contract manager certification, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations, maintaining the contract log, and preparing contractual documents. Other duties include appropriations reconciliation, reverted checks, and approval of various documents. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The incumbent may perform other related duties as required to meet ongoing needs. This position may be required to work overtime during budget preparation and periodically based on agency need. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of professional experience as described above; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
Special Requirements
    This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
    This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for fingerprinting.
