Licensed Professional Engineers provide professional services involving the application of engineering principles and data, or activities in connection with public or private utilities, structures, buildings, machines, equipment or projects impacting the public welfare or the safeguarding of life, health or property.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position works with the District 2 Traffic Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving temporary traffic control plans for construction contract, encroachment permits and for special events. They will review and comment on traffic impact studies and intersection control evaluations for proposed development located in District 2. They will also review customer comments regarding traffic operations through the district and evaluate if action is required and will coordinate the required work. They will be responsible for producing plans and specification for traffic related district contracts and working with the contractor to administer the contract. The successful candidate will need to become ATTSA certified Traffic Control Supervisor. Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) |

A person that is a licensed Professional Engineer in another state must become licensed as a Professional Engineer in Nevada within six months of appointment as a condition of employment.

A valid drivers license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. |

Registration as a Professional Engineer is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

The exam will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview. The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process. |
