The Position
Clinical Program Managers plan, organize, implement and direct one or more mental health, intellectual disabilities, and/or child development service delivery programs by establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; developing and monitoring budgets; integrating programs with other state and community services; and supervising clinical and administrative staff, typically including licensed Psychologists and/or subordinate supervisors of professional clinicians.
Clinical Program Manager 1's work in a relatively small program or cluster of programs. The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for a Clinical Program Manager 1. This recruitment is for a Clinical Program Manager I position with the developing Early Childhood Day Treatment Program at Northern Nevada Child and Adolescent Services in Reno, Nevada. The Early Childhood Day Treatment Program is a new mental health program currently being developed to serve children and their families, ages 3-6 years.
In coordination with the Clinical Program Manager II, this Clinical Program Manager I will be an integral part in developing and managing the program to include: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and ongoing direct supervision of personnel who will engage directly with youth in this psycho/social rehabilitation program and of two licensed mental health professionals; development and implementation of social/emotional programming and training with fidelity to trauma-informed, brain-based, and relationship-focused models of treatment; development in conjunction with current EC Day Treatment clinical program managers program related business practices and procedures; monitoring and evaluating program performance; integrating program with other state and community services; assessment of all children referred to the program to determine medical necessity; ensure compliance with applicable laws, licensure, and funding requirements; establish and implement admission/discharge criteria and waiting list priorities; develop and implement performance indicators and reporting mechanisms as part of agency accreditation and quality assurance/improvement efforts; receive and respond to feedback from consumers and advocacy groups regarding services provided and unmet needs; and monitor and evaluate clinical service delivery, and fiscal performance indicators. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
    A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option(s) identified, and three years of post-Master's degree professional experience in a human service delivery setting, one of which included supervision of professionals in the option(s) identified; OR a Doctoral degree (Ph.D or Psy.D) from an accredited college or university in clinical psychology, clinical social work, counseling, or a curriculum related to the option(s) identified, and two years of experience as described above, one of which included supervision of professionals in the option(s) identified.
Special Requirements
    A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
    Proof of a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
    This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Additional Position Criteria
    Current Nevada State Board Licensure in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Professional Counseling, and/or as a Licensed Psychologist is required.
