Program Officers administer a program or major component of a program by planning, coordinating and managing services and activities in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and established program performance standards and objectives.
--The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Program Officer 1 for the Joe Crowley Student Union. ***This full-time position is open to CURRENT CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES working within a Nevada System of Higher Education academic institution (UNR, TMCC, WNC, GBC, DRI, UNLV, NSC, CSN, NSHE System Administration) with at least 6 months of continuous, full-time equivalent employment. The incumbent will serve as the office manager and oversee daily activities including HR, payroll, supervise employees, research complaint resolution, questions, and requests; serve as the retail tenant coordinator and oversee accounts receivable, payable, and account reconciliation; maintain self-supporting accounts and develop annual budgets. This position will also serve as the Executive Assistant to the Director.
--The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. This position does not provide lay-off rights and is contingent upon funding. Pursuant to Nevada Legislature, State of Nevada Classified employees are subject to a mandatory unpaid furlough requirement of six days (part-time prorated) per fiscal year effective July 1, 2013. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in public administration or a related field; OR graduation from high school or the equivalent and four years of previous experience either performing or assisting in the planning, coordinating or administering of a program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
